A Letter From the Central Service Team to Chapters in Formation

Dear Sisters in the Lord Jesus Christ,

May the peace of Our Lord Jesus Christ be with you.

We are so thrilled that you want to have a Magnificat Chapter in your area.

Soon you will be reading and studying our Constitution. It took years for us to develop this document., and it’s really vital that you familiarize yourselves with its contents so that you can grasp the essence of Magnificat. However, the statutes by themselves cannot convey the spirit that permeates Magnificat. That is something intangible that has to be experienced in order to be fully appreciated.

Our Lady’s song of praise came forth from the depth of her being, from the roots of her formation as a child of God. Her words burst forth with exuberance and awe as she proclaimed the goodness of God to herself and to her people. That spirit of joyful reverence is what we ask God to bestow upon us in Magnificat.

The Holy Spirit will take your efforts and bless them beyond anything you can imagine, so too will He take your humble endeavors and fashion them into something beautiful for the honor and glory of God. (Ephesians 3:20)

“Sisters of ours, increase to thousands and tens of thousands! May your descendants gain possession of the gates of their enemies!” (Genesis 24:60 J.B.)
