Guest Speaker:  Angela Rizzo

Angela Rizzo was born in New York City and raised in the Bronx in a close-knit Italian family.  While her parents didn’t attend Mass they made sure Angela and her brother attended religious instruction.  From the time she was very young Angela had a great faith in God and spoke to Jesus all the time.  It was this faith in God that helped her, at the age of 12 ½, when her mother passed away from cancer. Angela’s father and their extended family helped to raise her and her brother and overall she had a happy childhood.  At the age of 22 she married her “childhood sweetheart” and soon after attended her first charismatic prayer meeting after going through a time of great fear, anxiety and worry.  This one event transformed her life and she calls it “the defining moment” of the “great adventure”!  This journey has taken Angela up the highest mountaintops and down into some very dark valleys.  The road has been winding and sometimes overgrown; at other times green and filled with the sweetest fruit and flowers.  After 33 years of marriage Angela went through a painful and difficult divorce.  This too was a defining moment for her – it is sometimes in our darkest moments that the voice of the Lord is the most clear and loud. After attending a protestant church for 10 years the Blessed Mother gently but firmly called her back to her Catholic roots.  Our Lady led her immediately to form a Magnificat chapter on Long Island where she lived and she served as Coordinator for many years as well as becoming the Regional Rep for the Northeast.  Last summer she was invited to become a part of the Central Service Team of Magnificat and is now serving as one of the Assistant Coordinator’s overseeing Leadership.  She still lives on Long Island and her two adult children have blessed her with six grandchildren; she is a Personal Life Coach, a women’s Bible Study leader, and student of the Divine Will teachings of Luisa Piccaretta.  Angela’s story will restore your hope and bring you joy on your own “great adventure”!

Magnificat Prayer Teams and Confessions will be available after the meal.

Since the day is designed to speak to the hearts of women, free of distractions, it is respectfully requested that young children not be in attendance.
