Guest Speaker: Therese Klug

Therese Klug has been a devoted parishioner of Our Lady of the Lake Catholic Church in Hendersonville, Tennessee for 45 years. She has faithfully served the parish as a catechist and in numerous leadership roles, including parish council chairperson, stewardship chairperson, and building expansion chairperson. On August 15, 1999, Therese—then a single mother of six—experienced the unimaginable loss of her oldest son. That profound tragedy set her on a lifelong journey of healing, faith, and mercy. On the first Divine Mercy Sunday, April 30, 2000, Therese encountered the powerful message of trusting completely in Jesus’ mercy. In that moment, the heavy weight of grief lifted, and she knew her son was with Jesus, held in the loving arms of the Blessed Mother. From that day forward, her mission became clear: to spread devotion to the Divine Mercy and to accompany others who have suffered heartbreaking loss.

Through this journey, Therese came to a deeper understanding of the Body of Christ and the Works of Mercy, recognizing that healing is lived through communion and service. This call led her to become co-chair of her parish mission to a sister parish in Haiti. Her faith journey also took her to Poland, where she visited the convent where St. Faustina lived, deepening her connection to the Divine Mercy message. In November 2025, Therese was further affirmed in her mission when she was blessed to meet Pope Leo XIV in person.

Therese continues to serve others through her professional work as an independent court-appointed conservator. She is married to Dave Klug, Grand Knight of the Knights of Columbus, and together they joyfully serve in the Legion of Mary and other ministries at Our Lady of the Lake Church. They share a blended family of nine children, eight grandchildren, and one great-grandson.“During the day I answer to the judge, but at the end of the day, I answer to a higher Judge.”

Please join us to learn more about Therese’s journey.

History of Our Lady of Good Success Chapter

“Hallelujah! Sing to the Lord a new song, a song of praise in the assembly of the faithful.”(Ps: 149:1) We are now ‘officially’ the Magnificat Chapter of Nashville, TN; our local name is Our Lady of Good Success.  This journey to form a Magnificat Chapter in the Diocese of Nashville, TN began in June 2021 with the approval of Bishop Mark Spalding.  With over 100 Magnificat Chapters in the world, Magnificat exists to evangelize and encourage Catholic Christian women in holiness by opening more fully to the power and gifts of the Holy Spirit. As our Blessed Mother brought our Eucharistic Lord in the Visitation, so too, will she as the Spouse of the Holy Spirit, bring her children into the fullness of life in our Crucified Christ’s Love and Mercy, Joy and Peace.

My Service team and I are so looking forward to seeing you at our next Magnificat Meal ~ Rosemary, Coordinator
