These are exciting times that we live in and Magnificat was begun in 1981 for such as time as this. Our Guest Speaker: Father Robert Cavalier

Fr. Robert Cavalier is a priest of the Archdiocese of New Orleans who has served in numerous parishes and other assignments and ministries for almost 52 years.
Currently serving as resident chaplain for the Teresian Sisters in Covington, he is also chaplain of the Magnificat Chapter in Mandeville, La. The faith journey God has led him on is one of ongoing personal conversion and service to the people of God. Highlights will be shared that are common to all of us though his story is lived out in the uniqueness of a French Catholic heritage in the New Orleans and bayou areas of our state. Of special note is the place of Our Lady in daily life and experienced in pilgrimages to Guadalupe, Lourdes, Kibeho and Quenca, Ecuador. Our Lady of Mepkin is his most dear image of our Blessed Mother which is in the Trappist monastery of the same name in South Carolina. Fr. Robert’s priestly call has its origin in an experience of the sacrament of Penance and its growth and continuation in movements in the church that have formed since the Second Vatican Council. He witnesses to the truth that all things are possible with God.
