I’m We welcome you to the webpage of Our Lady of Readiness, Lake Charles Chapter of Magnificat in Louisiana. These are exciting times that we live in, and Magnificat was begun in 1981 for such a time as this. There are now over 100 chapters throughout the United States and its territories and in many foreign countries.

What a beautiful way to start our day!
Mona was raised in Fenton, Louisiana as a cradle Catholic and is the eldest of 8 children. She and Brent have been married for 43 years and have raised four girls. The Hathaway farming community and St. Lawrence Catholic Church has been their home. Their family consists of 4 daughters, three sons-in-love, and 9 awesome grandchildren. She is a 37-year retired Jeff Davis Parish educator, enjoys cooking, baking, canning, gardening, arranging flowers, singing, and spending time with family and friends. She is involved in the St. Lawrence Catholic Church, choir, bazaar, Faith Renewal, Catholic Daughters, CDA funeral committee, the new Coordinator for the Lake Charles Chapter of Magnificat. She also serves at OLHC as part of the bereavement committee, funeral choir, and Lay Minister of Holy Communion. Mona is a member of the East Deanery Serra Club of Lake Charles, Louisiana Association of Principals, and Volunteers of Families and Communities.
Mona is a life-long learner and looks for opportunities each day to learn something new. Her grandchildren help her with this! Join us as Mona shares her journey with Jesus.

Remember our chapter’s commitment to pray the Rosary on the 14th of each month, joining our sisters in Magnificat for the intentions of a New Pentecost, the Church, Magnificat, Sanctity of Life, Marriage, Family, and World Peace.
Our Prayer Groups
Is God calling you to be in a Prayer Group? Jesus said “Wherever two or three are gathered in My Name, there I am in their midst.” Our prayer groups are open to all.
Tongues of Fire Prayer Group meets every Thursday, Immaculate Conception Catholic Church Family Room, music starts @ 6:30pm and meeting 7:00pm.
