We welcome you to the webpage of Our Lady of Glory Chapter of Magnificat in Shreveport / Bossier City / North West Louisiana (NOWELA). These are exciting times that we live in and Magnificat was begun in 1981 for such a time as this. There are now over 100 chapters throughout the United States and its territories and in many foreign countries.

Dani lives in Lansing Michigan and in April 2009 was diagnosed with postural orthostatic tachycardia syndrome (POTS), a blood circulation disorder which made it impossible for her to stand up on her own, necessitating constant use of a wheelchair. Her condition affected her breathing and in 2017 she was given a tracheotomy, leaving her with a hole in her throat and a plastic valve where the ventilator attaches.
In 2018, while in the hospital for an illness she met Doug who was working as a nurse. Doug began visiting her regularly and the two married in 2019. In March 2022, they heard about a Catholic healing service and decided to go. During this healing service, Dani raised her hands to appeal to God to take care of her. Following the prayer, not only could she breathe without her portable ventilator but also could stand up and walk.
April 2022 would have marked Dani’s 13th year confined to a wheelchair. But instead, she has been strolling around Lansing as if those infirm years never happened. Come here Dani’s story about the power of prayer and of not one but the two miracles she received that evening!

Since the day is designed to speak to the hearts of women, free of distractions, it is respectfully requested that young children under the age of 14 not be in attendance.

Remember our chapter’s commitment to Eucharistic Adoration and to pray the Rosary on the 30th of each month for the intentions of Magnificat, Sanctity of Life, Marriage and Family, and World Peace.
