We welcome you to the webpage of St. Elizabeth of the Visitation Chapter of Magnificat in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. These are exciting times that we live in and Magnificat was begun in 1981 for such a time as this. There are now over 100 chapters throughout the United States and its territories and in many foreign countries.

Our Guest Speaker: Estella Champion

“For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.”  Jer. 29“:”11

Estella Champion is a native of New Orleans who grew up in Baton Rouge where she attended St. Thomas More School, St. Joseph’s Academy, and LSU. She credits her parents Felix and Rosa Olivier for nurturing her strong faith and deep love for our Lord Jesus, the Blessed Mother, and the Catholic Church.

One week after graduating from LSU, Estella married Buddy Champion—the man she truly believes was chosen by her Heavenly Father. They were blessed with three children:  Anna, Christopher, and Beau. While still at LSU, Estella’s father started teaching her the mysterious language of court reporting. This rewarding career helped shape her character and deepened her reliance on God—lessons that proved pivotal after her retirement.

As God’s plan unfolded, the Blessed Mother called Estella to serve on the Magnificat Service Team. The women of Magnificat became the loving family that embraced Estella. Four years ago Buddy unexpectedly passed away, leaving Estella broken and alone.

Today Estella is passionate about sharing how God poured out His love, walked with her through the suffering, and taught her how to live with purpose and joy. As she steps forward in faith, she holds tight to the promise that He isn’t done with her yet.

Tickets to the Breakfast are $27.00.
Tickets for priests, deacons, religious brothers and sisters are complimentary, but reservations are required. Please contact Estella Champion. (see below)

Remember our chapter’s commitment to Eucharistic Adoration and to pray the Rosary on the 5th of each month for the intentions of Magnificat, Sanctity of Life, Marriage and Family, and World Peace.

Our Prayer Groups

Is God calling you to be in a Prayer Group? Jesus said “Wherever two or three are gathered in My Name, there I am in their midst.” Our prayer groups are open to all.

starting at 11:00 am followed by noon Mass.

History of St. Elizabeth of the Visitation Chapter

Our Baton Rouge Magnificat chapter’s first prayer breakfast was September 8,1988 at the Catholic Life Center. Bishop Stanley Ott of the diocese of Baton Rouge was our first guest speaker and Fr Cleo Milano was our first spiritual advisor.
