We welcome you to the webpage of St. Elizabeth of the Visitation Chapter of Magnificat in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. These are exciting times that we live in and Magnificat was begun in 1981 for such a time as this. There are now over 100 chapters throughout the United States and its territories and in many foreign countries.

About Our Speaker: Marilyn Seibert
A Native of New Roads and a long-time resident of Baton Rouge. She has twin daughters (Sheri and Marilyn) and one grandchild, Hana. Marilyn has a degree in Speech-Language Pathology from Southern University and both a Master’s and PhD from the University of Washington.
As a cradle Catholic, she observed her mother saying the rosary and followed suit. Her spiritual Journey took many twists and turns but in hindsight, all were necessary for her spiritual development and maturity. Her early life was shaped by the ravages of poverty, cultural and societal inequities, as well as disparities in education, all of which impacted her both spiritually and socially. By the age of 13, she was a loner and feared ridicule. Thus her journey to go directly to God began.
She examined every prayer she ever learned, and took all her questions to God. She did not have much biblical knowledge. However, at a low point in her life, she was invited to a Catholic Charismatic Renewal in Baton Rouge. Three weeks later, she was enrolled in the Life in the Spirit Seminar, her life was never the same.
God carried her when she had no other strength. Her story gives all glory to God.
Since the day is designed to speak to the hearts of women, free of distractions, it is respectfully requested that young children under the age of 14 not be in attendance.

Remember our chapter’s commitment to Eucharistic Adoration and to pray the Rosary on the 5th of each month for the intentions of Magnificat, Sanctity of Life, Marriage and Family, and World Peace.
Our Prayer Groups
Is God calling you to be in a Prayer Group? Jesus said “Wherever two or three are gathered in My Name, there I am in their midst.” Our prayer groups are open to all.
Magnificat Monthly Eucharistic Holy Hour
First Thursday of each month In Our Lady of Mercy’s Adoration Chapel
starting at 11:00 am followed by noon Mass.
