About Our Speaker: Claire Gallagher
Born and raised in the New Orleans area, Claire Gallagher is a consecrated virgin for the Archdiocese of New Orleans. After spending many of her young adult years pursuing marriage, she eventually opened her heart to God’s call and discerned a vocation to consecrated life. On September 18, 2021, she was consecrated by Archbishop Aymond to a life of virginity lived in the world.
Claire’s vocation is centered around her spousal love of Christ and the call to spiritual motherhood, which she expresses through various avenues. She currently manages a project through the Loyola Institute for Ministry that provides spiritual enrichment for Catholic sisters and is the co-host of the podcast “Flourishing Sisterhood,” which highlights the unique stories of religious sisters in the south. Claire also teaches for the undergrad religious studies department at Loyola University and is a parishioner at St. Agnes Church in Jefferson, LA.
Claire is an alum of St. Mary’s Dominican High School, UL Lafayette, and Notre Dame Seminary, where she earned her Masters degree in Theology. In her free time, Claire enjoys dancing, baking, travelling, and spending time with her friends and family, especially her six nieces and nephews. She looks forward to sharing with you the stories of God’s providence in her life.
