We welcome you to the webpage of Mary, Queen of the Valley Chapter of Magnificat in San Gabriel, California. These are exciting times that we live in and Magnificat was begun in 1981 for such as time as this. There are now over 100 chapters throughout the United States and its territories and in many foreign countries.

About Our Speaker: Donna Lee

Donna Lee is a noted Catholic singer, guitarist, and composer. She has performed all over the world, recorded numerous albums, and is a three-time Unity Award winner.

Donna drifted away from the church in high school, attended an evangelical church , and then stopped going to church altogether for many years. At age 22 she found herself in an abusive marriage feeling like a prisoner with no way out. In 1989 a call from her mother changed her life and opened the door to the beginning of her return to the Catholic faith. Donna will share her experience of God’s forgiveness through the Sacrament of Reconciliation and how God continues to heal the wounds from the past.

She will share how the pandemic in 2020 changed her spiritual life forever.

Come her the journey of a woman who has received Gods in fathomable mercy, forgiveness, and love. Her testimony will leave you knowing that you are indeed loved by God and there is nothing you can do about it.

Rosary Blanket of Prayer

Our Chapter is assigned the 11th of the month.
The Magnificat Ministry sponsors a Rosary Blanket of Prayer in response to our Holy Father’s call to prayer. Each Chapter is assigned one day of the month for concentrated prayer, fasting, Eucharistic Adoration, Rosary, etc. Of course, we are called to pray daily, but this day should be especially designated. It can be done individually and collectively, as possible. Magnificat women and others who care to join us are invited to take part in this concerted effort. The general intentions are for a New Pentecost, the Church, Magnificat, the sanctity of life, marriage & family, and world peace.

My soul proclaims the greatness of the Lord; my spirit rejoices in God my savior. Luke 1:46-47

History of Mary, Queen of the Valley Chapter

San Gabriel Valley Magnificat Chapter was established October 1, 2005 during the month of the Rosary. It was licensed officially a chapter by the State of California on August 31, 2006. The first breakfast was held on October 10, 2005 at the Shady Hollow Country Club. Clara Luera is the Foundress of this chapter.

Our Chapter began to hold its breakfasts at Country Club in San Dimas in 2005. The Spiritual name “Mary Queen of the Valley” was added in 2008.

Mary Queen of of the Valley Chapter continues to serve the women of the San Gabriel Valley in the mission to save souls and offer hope.
