We welcome you to the webpage of Our Lady of Guadalupe Chapter of Magnificat in North County San Diego, California. These are exciting times that we live in and Magnificat was begun in 1981 for such a time as this. There are now over 100 chapters throughout the United States and its territories and in many foreign countries.

About Our Speaker: Peggy Tacchino

‘For I know the plans I have in mind for you, plans for your welfare and not for woe, so as to give you a future of hope.   Jeremiah 29:11-13

Peggy Tacchino grew up nominally Catholic. Steeped in a relativistic, worldly mindset, Jesus met her during high school, through some Christian friends in an evangelical youth ministry called Young Life. The Lord spoke to her through scripture and asked her to seek Him with all her heart.

In college, she surrendered to Jesus, and the Holy Trinity as the One true God…on the condition that He “wouldn’t make her one of those guys who has to tell people about it.” 20 plus years later, Peggy works as Director of New Evangelization & Catechetical Ministries at St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church in San Diego, enjoys street evangelizing, and praying over family friends, and strangers alike for healing in Jesus’ name. God wins (and probably laughs too:)!

Peggy served as a Net Ministries Missionary in 2006-2007. She received
incredible formation in the Catholic faith, was baptized in the Holy Spirit, and
decided that this all-in, on-fire lifestyle she experienced on NET was meant for
every Christian, not just missionaries.

Since 2008, Peggy has worked in ministry at Catholic Churches and
apostolates in the diocese of San Diego. She is a 2023 graduate of the
Encounter School of Ministry Online and currently facilitates two online
classes with the same organization. She has a passion to see all people come
to know Jesus and live the fullness of life in the Spirit.

Rosary Blanket of Prayer

Remember our chapter’s commitment to Eucharistic Adoration and to pray the Rosary on the 25th of each month for the intentions of Magnificat, Sanctity of Life, Marriage and Family, and World Peace.

History of North County San Diego Chapter of Magnificat

The North County San Diego, Our Lady of Guadalupe Chapter, began in the early 1990’s. It took over a year of dedicated, faith filled women, prayer and the inspiration of the Holy Spirit to begin the chapter. The Chapter spun from the Central San Diego Chapter which is now inactive.
