We welcome you to the webpage of Our Lady of Guadalupe Chapter of Magnificat in North County San Diego, California. These are exciting times that we live in and Magnificat was begun in 1981 for such a time as this. There are now over 100 chapters throughout the United States and its territories and in many foreign countries.

About Our Speaker: Carol Cannizzaro

Carolyn Cannizzaro is a wife, mother, and grandmother. She lives with her husband,
Andy, on a farm in southwest Pennsylvania. Carolyn didn’t always live on a farm.
No, she came from the metropolis of San Diego, CA where she grew up, served in
her community, and taught elementary school for twenty-three years. Why would a
California city girl move to Fayette County, Pennsylvania? The answer is TRUE LOVE.
More than that, it was the Holy Spirit directing her life! It is truly a “Green Acres” kind of
story demonstrating the faithfulness of our Lord.
Carolyn has experienced many trials in life including marital strife, the loss of both
parents and the tragic loss of her first husband and daughter. Through these many
difficulties she surrendered and found her trust and joy in the Lord.
Carolyn received her BA and Teaching Credential from Loyola Marymount University
in 1983. She served as a teacher and literacy coach for 23 years. In 2007, she earned
her Master of Administration in Education from Concordia University in Irvine, CA. In
2015, Carolyn received her Pastoral Ministry Certification from Seton Hill University
in Pennsylvania.
Carolyn is the Chairwoman for the 2024 Diocese of Greensburg
“Spirited” Women’s Conference and recently retired as the Director of Prolife Advocacy.
Carolyn also serves as a catechist, worship leader, cantor, and eucharistic minister
in her home Parish of The Church of St. Anne in Rostraver, PA. She especially loves
singing God’s praises as a member of the Living Praise Worship Team with outreach
to Magnificat events, retreats, and Life in the Spirit Seminars (livingpraiseworship.
com). Carolyn is a graduate of Encounter Ministries and a founding member of “Hem
of His Garment” healing ministry in Greensburg, PA

Remember our chapter’s commitment to Eucharistic Adoration and to pray the Rosary on the 25th of each month for the intentions of Magnificat, Sanctity of Life, Marriage and Family, and World Peace.

History of North County San Diego Chapter of Magnificat
The North County San Diego, Our Lady of Guadalupe Chapter, began in the early 1990’s. It took over a year of dedicated, faith filled women, prayer and the inspiration of the Holy Spirit to begin the chapter. The Chapter spun from the Central San Diego Chapter which is now inactive.
