We welcome you to the webpage of the Antelope Valley Chapter of Magnificat in California. These are exciting times that we live in and Magnificat was begun in 1981 for such a time as this. There are now over 100 chapters throughout the United States and its territories and in many foreign countries.

Our Guest Speaker:   Dr. Jennifer Havey

Dr. Jennifer Rose Havey, D. Min. (Doctorate of Ministry) is currently a Catholic speaker, co-founder of Love & Responsibility LA, a spiritual mentor and ministerial consultant & intercessor for the church at large. For the last six years she was the Coordinator of Spiritual Renewal in the San Fernando and San Gabriel Region Pastoral Offices for the Archdiocese of Los Angeles before moving back to Northern California. Jennifer Rose is originally from Sacramento, CA where she was born and raised. She attended St. Mary’s College of California and received a Bachelors in Liberal & Civic Studies, CA Teaching Credential, and Master of Arts in Teaching. She received a Doctorate of Ministry in 2015 in Dayton, Ohio with an emphasis on radical discipleship. Jennifer began her career as a teacher, then was an administrator in public and private schools, and worked for the church in Los Angeles for the last six years. Jennifer continues to intercede for revival and renewal in Los Angeles and has been blessed to see the Holy Spirit move in a powerful way throughout our regions. Jennifer has been ministering to principals and school staff through retreats and prayer ministry. She also has trained teams in Unbound ministry and continues to support and help launch new Young Adult Ministries throughout LA and Northern California. Jennifer loves the Lord with all her heart and her life is no longer her own. Her prayer is that you may encounter Jesus Christ and fully surrender to His love through the power of the Holy Spirit, the true Coordinator of Spiritual Renewal.

Religious books and CD’s may be available at the meal.
Since the day is designed to speak to the hearts of women, free of distractions, it is respectfully requested that young children not be in attendance.

History of Antelope Valley Chapter of Magnificat

(Diocese of Los Angeles, California) Established 2011.  After a year of prayer, listening for guidance from the Holy Spirit and fellowship with many women, the first Antelope Valley Magnificat Meal was held on May 31st, 2008, the feast of the Visitation.  We met at the John P. Eliopulos Center in Lancaster, CA.  One hundred and forty-three guests attended.  Our speaker was Karen Moses.

Through the months of prayer and preparation things that seemed difficult to us fell together in simple ways thanks to the Holy Spirit who was always with us providing assistance.

Forming a Service Team was one of our first duties, and again through the prompting of the Holy Spirit, six women volunteered at one prayer meeting.  We only needed five, but the Holy Spirit thought six would be perfect and it was.

These women served on the Service Team for 12 years.  The original team was blessed with Rita Trabold, Christine Anderson, Joan Brautigam, Dorothy Schoespner, Marie Flores, and Mary Qening.  The COVID Pandemic in 2020 brought a hiatus to our meals but not for long since a new service team was formed in 2022.  God was waiting for us and He is the reason we come together.
