We welcome you to the webpage of Cherokee Village, AR Mary, Ark of the Covenant Chapter. These are exciting times that we live in and Magnificat was begun in 1981 for such as time as this. There are now over 100 chapters throughout the United States and its territories and in many foreign countries.

OUR GUEST SPEAKER: MAY DELL STINER
I was born on August 16, 1941, in Arnaudville, Louisiana. I am divorced with three children, six grandchildren and one great grandchild.
I practiced briefly as a charge nurse in a hospital’s pediatric unit and worked with children and families in public health. I begin a teaching career in nursing education that expanded 20 years. I taught in New York and Texas and then began a career practicing law in Tennessee for 20 years before retiring in 2009.
I currently serve on the boards of Tresvant Retirement Community, Southern Avenue Charter School and Vollentine-Evergreen Community Association. I am also engaged in mission work in Haiti since 1996 to the present time.
I am a member of St. Patrick Catholic Church, where I serve as lector, Eucharistic Minister, and choir member. I volunteer in social ministries within and outside of the church.
My passion is spent serving others. However, I also enjoy outdoor activities especially gardening and all other fascinating gifts that nature provides. From time to time, I like to ride my bike in the park. Additionally on most days, time is taken to lift weights, engage in yoga exercise and casual walking where I can also enjoy nature. I also go back to my roots and whip up a creole dish or two on occasion. I have been known to host festive creole parties.

ROSARY BLANKET OF PRAYER
Remember our chapter’s commitment to pray the Rosary on the 15th of each month, joining our sisters in Magnificat for the intentions of a New Pentecost, the Church, Magnificat, Sanctity of Life, Marriage and Family, and World Peace.
OUR PRAYER GROUPS
Is God calling you to be in a Prayer Group? Jesus said “Wherever two or three are gathered in My Name, there I am in their midst.” Our prayer groups are open to all.
