We welcome you to the webpage of Cherokee Village, AR Mary, Ark of the Covenant Chapter. These are exciting times that we live in and Magnificat was begun in 1981 for such as time as this. There are now over 100 chapters throughout the United States and its territories and in many foreign countries.

OUR GUEST SPEAKER: Irene Lynch
Irene Lynch is a former principal of Epiphany Cathedral School in Venice, Florida, and a member of the Catholic Writers Guild. She is the author of two faith books: “If Today You Hear His Voice” and “Harden Not Your Hearts.” She co-authored three children’s books with her husband, John: “The Legend of the Tooth Fairy,” “Can We Have a Puppy?” and “The True Meaning of Christmas”.
Irene is a strong and passionate woman with an undeniable love for God, her husband, John, and her family. Her laugh is contagious, and her faith inspires many. Formerly from Massachusetts, she has been a Sarasota County, Florida resident since 1988. She graduated from Bourne High School in 1970 and Bridgewater State College (BSC) in 1974 with a Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education. She received her master’s degree in special education from the University of Southern Florida (USF) and her EDS in education leadership from Nova Southeastern University. She taught kindergarten and first grade at Philippi Shores Elementary School, was a Resource Teacher and Exceptional Student Education Liaison at Fruitville Elementary, and was an Assistant Principal at Venice Middle and Sarasota Middle School before becoming Principal at Epiphany Cathedral School.
Irene is a devoted St. Patrick’s Church member and an active Ladies Auxiliary officer of the Knights of Columbus. She is a Divine Mercy Cenacle member, the Eucharistic Adoration team’s leader, Parish Point Person for the National Eucharistic Revival, OCIA team member, and Eucharistic Minister. Irene also served as a member of the Legion of Mary at Incarnation Church. She is currently working on establishing a Magnificat Chapter in northern Sarasota. Her community service included being a community director of the YMCA and delivering Meals on Wheels.

Remember our chapter’s commitment to pray the Rosary on the 15th of each month, joining our sisters in Magnificat for the intentions of a New Pentecost, the Church, Magnificat, Sanctity of Life, Marriage and Family, and World Peace.
