We welcome you to the webpage of Our Lady of Readiness, Lake Charles Chapter of Magnificat in Louisiana. These are exciting times that we live in and Magnificat was begun in 1981 for such as time as this. There are now over 100 chapters throughout the United States and its territories and in many foreign countries.

Guest Speaker: Tina Monlezun
Tina Monlezun was born in Welsh, LA to a large, loving Catholic family. She married Dominique Monlezun, moved to Lake Arthur in 1980 and began her nursing career in 1982 while working in several healthcare environments across Southwestern Louisiana while she and her husband raised their family. God has blessed Dominique and her with three beautiful children and four grandchildren. She opened Lake Arthur Health Clinic in 2001 and happily continues serving the community of Southwest LA as a primary care practitioner with Ochsner American Legion Hospital. She worships and is active with Our Lady of The Lake Catholic Church and Cursillo in Christianity movement.
Her heart and eyes were unexpectedly opened to the depths of God’s love during an intense encounter in Lourdes. After a lifetime living the harried, busy life of a wife, mother, nurse and dutiful Catholic, she began to fully understand the peace and compassion of God’s love. 1 John 3:1, “How great is the love the Father has lavished on us, that we should be called children of God! And that is what we are! The reason the world does not know us is that it did not know him.” Her passion is to grow through prayer, study and action while sharing the story of God’s grace and mercy.
Prayer teams are available following the meal.
Religious books and CD’s may be available at the meal.
Since the day is designed to speak to the hearts of women, free of distractions, it is respectfully requested that young children not be in attendance.

Rosary Blanket of Prayer
Remember our chapter’s commitment to pray the Rosary on the 14th of each month, joining our sisters in Magnificat for the intentions of a New Pentecost, the Church, Magnificat, Sanctity of Life, Marriage and Family, and World Peace.
Our Prayer Groups
Is God calling you to be in a Prayer Group? Jesus said “Wherever two or three are gathered in My Name, there I am in their midst.” Our prayer groups are open to all.
Tongues of Fire Prayer Group meets every Thursday, Immaculate Conception Catholic Church Family Room, music starts @ 6:30pm and meeting 7:00pm.
