These are exciting times that we live in and Magnificat was begun in 1981 for such as time as this. There are now over 100 chapters throughout the United States and its territories and in many foreign countries.

This is Fr. Anil Alexander, the new administrator of the IC family effective from July 1st, 2024. My country of origin is India, and I hail from one of the southern states of India called Kerala. I have three elder Siblings in my family; two of the eldest brothers are catholic priests working as pastors in the Middle East (Sharjah, belong to the order of OFM cap) and Australia (belong to the order of Carmelite Missionaries). And the third elder brother is at home with his family. I completed my Philosophical and theological studies in India, and I was ordained priest on the 6th of January in the year 2009, for the Society of Missionaries of Compassion in India. In the year 2013, I was appointed as the Pastor of Kulam parish in the mission Diocese of Miao, the Northeastern part of India Bordering China and Myanmar for Ten years (with Tutsa tribals of Indigenous origin). I moved to Canada in the year 2021 for a new mission and was appointed as the pastor of St. Therese’s Church Arviat, the Artic Mission with Eskimos in the Diocese of Churchill-Hudsonbay. I arrived in the Diocese of Lake Charles for the new mission on the 19th of January 2024 and I was assigned as the pastoral assistant to St. Joseph church at Elton. On July 1st, 2024, I was assigned as the pastor of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Jennings. am excited to join the Immaculate Conception family and this is my first assignment as pastor in America. My Hobbies are reading books and playing football. Let us travel together on our way to God’s kingdom in supporting each other as good friends.

Rosary Blanket of Prayer
Remember our chapter’s commitment to pray the Rosary on the 14th of each month, joining our sisters in Magnificat for the intentions of a New Pentecost, the Church, Magnificat, Sanctity of Life, Marriage and Family, and World Peace.
Our Prayer Groups
Is God calling you to be in a Prayer Group? Jesus said “Wherever two or three are gathered in My Name, there I am in their midst.” Our prayer groups are open to all.
Tongues of Fire Prayer Group meets every Thursday, Immaculate Conception Catholic Church Family Room, music starts @ 6:30pm and meeting 7:00pm.
