We welcome you to the webpage of Christ Our Light Chapter of Magnificat in West Palm Beach, Florida. These are exciting times that we live in and Magnificat was begun in 1981 for such a time as this. There are now over 100 chapters throughout the United States and its territories and in many foreign countries.

Guest Speaker:    Kristina Marquez

Kristina Marquez was born and raised in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, as one of six children in a devout Catholic family. Faith was at the heart of her upbringing, instilling in her a deep appreciation for family, service, and community.

Kristina and her husband, Dennis, have been married for 52 years and are blessed with four children and eleven grandchildren. Together, they also opened Pizzazz Hair Design 52 years ago, beginning a business journey that continues today.

After making Wellington, Florida, their home, Kristina and her family became founding members of St. Rita Catholic Church, where she remains an active member nearly 47 years later.

A defining moment in Kristina’s faith journey came in 1982 when she attended a Cursillo weekend. The experience profoundly deepened her relationship with the Lord and awakened within her a call to serve. Matthew 25:35 became a guiding Scripture in her life: “For I was hungry and you gave me food, I was thirsty and you gave me drink, I was a stranger and you welcomed me.”

Through the Cursillo Movement, Christian friendship, and service, Kristina has continued to live out that calling in her family, Church, and community.

Inspired by Exodus 4, Kristina trusts that God equips those He calls. She believes that when the Lord places something on our hearts, He will provide what we need to say “yes.” Her prayer is that, for whatever time God gives her, she will continue to faithfully say yes to His call.

Rosary Blanket of Prayer

Remember our chapter’s commitment to Eucharistic Adoration and to pray the Rosary on the 2nd of each month for the intentions of Magnificat, Sanctity of Life, Marriage and Family, and World Peace.

Our Prayer Groups

Is God calling you to be in a Prayer Group? Jesus said, “Wherever two or three are gathered in My Name, there I am in their midst.” Our prayer groups are open to all.

History of Christ Our Light Chapter of Magnificat

Magnificat Palm Beach Chapter, Inc., the Christ Our Light chapter, was formed on July 17, 2003, by its original coordinator, Dr. Carol Razza. The first Magnificat meal was held at the Airport Hilton in West Palm Beach, Florida, with over 400 in attendance. Today we continue the first fiat of the original team by hosting four meals a year and we are currently still at the Airport Hilton. Empowered by the Holy Spirit and anchored in faith, our Team are devoted servants of Christ with a heart for women’s ministry. We believe in the transformative power of God’s love and we are passionate about walking alongside other women on their spiritual journeys. Through prayer, and community, we create spaces where women can encounter Jesus, find healing, and grow in their identity as daughters of the King. With grace, wisdom, and boldness, following the example of Mother Mary, we live to reflect Christ and inspire others to live fully surrendered lives for His glory.
