Please pray with us as the Ministry continues to bring women to Jesus and the Catholic Church through Mary and the Holy Spirit. Magnify the Lord with me and let us exalt His name together. Ps. 34:4
Rosary Blanket of Prayer
Our Chapter is assigned the 9th of the month.
The Magnificat Ministry sponsors a Rosary Blanket of Prayer in response to our Holy Father’s call to prayer. Each Chapter is assigned one day of the month for concentrated prayer, fasting, Eucharistic Adoration, Rosary, etc. Of course, we are called to pray daily, but this day should be especially designated. It can be done individually and collectively, as possible. Magnificat women and others who care to join us are invited to take part in this concerted effort. The general intentions are for a New Pentecost, the Church, Magnificat, the sanctity of life, marriage & family, and world peace.
My soul proclaims the greatness of the Lord; my spirit rejoices in God my savior. Luke 1:46-47

History of “Jesus Is Lord” Chapter of Miami:
Maria Vadia, the founding Coordinator of the Miami Magnificat Chapter was born in Havana, Cuba. Maria was 10 years old when she and her family fled to Miami, Florida to escape the communist regime in her native country. She attended Catholic schools and was a “Sunday” Catholic with no personal relationship with the Lord Jesus Christ. Later married to a wealthy man, she was gripped by materialism; yet in the midst of everything the world could offer, she knew that something was missing.
Maria was baptized in the Holy Spirit in 1987 and consecrated her life to the Lord Jesus Christ and to the preaching of the Gospel. In spite of great adversity, the Lord has been with her like a “mighty warrior” (Jeremiah 20:11)
Maria is active in the “Catholic Charismatic Renewal” of the Archdiocese of Miami and has spoken at many charismatic conferences. Maria has traveled around America, Cuba, Trinidad & Tobago, Barbados, Jamaica, Mexico, Malta, Ghana, Nicaragua, Uganda, Indonesia, Canada and India bringing a message of faith, salvation and healing. She ministers the Word to various prayer groups, including “The King Jesus Prayer Group” which she has faithfully led since 1992, as well as at the Miami Women’s Detention Center and Genesis House, a home for the homeless with AIDS (presently closed). She is the founder of Glory House of Miami and of Days of Glory. She has an authored several books.
Maria is the mother of four children: Ricky, Victor, Eddy and Rosario.
