Our Guest Speaker: Tracy Bannon

Tracy Bannon was raised in a culturally Catholic home in Metairie. She was catechized and sacramentalized but was never taken to Mass. With almost no expression of faith in her home, she believed in God, but only as a story—that God is in Heaven and you see Him when you die.
It wasn’t until her early thirties, after experiencing a dream, that she encountered the God of Heaven AND Earth making contact with her. This was the beginning of an amazing adventure and conversion of faith as the God of the storybook began speaking to her and writing His story in her life.
Tracy is the wife of 42 years to her husband and the mother of one daughter, Kate. She is a retired registered nurse who spent 26 years in Labor and Delivery and now resides in Mandeville. She serves at Mary, Queen of Peace Parish as an Extraordinary Minister of Holy Communion (EMHC). Tracy also coordinates the Vocations Chalice Ministry, a ministry that is especially dear to her heart after serving as the nurse for the seminarians at St. Joseph Abbey.
God has also called Tracy to be a light for children. She substitutes at Mary, Queen of Peace Catholic School and, beginning this fall, will teach in the parish’s Catechesis of the Good Shepherd program for children ages 3–6.
Tracy is the co-founder of the Blessed Beyond Belief Prayer Room in Slidell, where she and her team pray with people for healing of mind, body, and spirit, helping to clear away obstacles to a deeper intimacy with Jesus.
You are invited to come hear Tracy’s story, “There Is More,” and be blessed beyond belief!Come discover how the God she once thought was distant revealed Himself to be alive, personal, and still speaking today. You may just discover that there is more to your own story, too.
